Holy Grace Polytechnic College is committed to providing a safe, disciplined, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students. The Anti-Ragging Committee of the institution is constituted to prevent and eliminate ragging in any form within the campus, hostel, transportation facilities, and other areas associated with the institution.

The Committee functions in accordance with the applicable UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, and relevant AICTE guidelines and directions.

Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee aims to:

• Maintain a ragging-free campus.
• Create awareness among students regarding the harmful effects and consequences of ragging.
• Protect the dignity, safety, and well-being of every student.
• Promote healthy interaction and mutual respect between senior and junior students.
• Prevent, identify, and address any incident of ragging promptly.
• Conduct anti-ragging awareness and orientation programmes.
• Encourage students to report any ragging-related incident without fear.
• Take appropriate action in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

Committee Functions

The Anti-Ragging Committee regularly monitors the campus and takes preventive measures to ensure that students are protected from ragging. Complaints or information regarding ragging are examined promptly, and appropriate action is initiated as per the prescribed regulations.

The institution follows a zero-tolerance approach towards ragging and strives to maintain a safe, friendly, supportive, and student-friendly campus environment.

Procedure for Reporting an Anti-Ragging Complaint

Any student who experiences, witnesses, or becomes aware of any incident of ragging or related misconduct in the college may immediately report the matter to any member of the Anti-Ragging Committee or Anti-Ragging Squad.

Students may report the matter through:

• Direct communication with any Committee/Squad member.
• Written complaint submitted to the College Office.
• Complaint to the Principal or designated Anti-Ragging Nodal Officer.
• Telephone or other official communication channels provided by the institution.

In urgent situations, the student may immediately approach the nearest faculty member or college authority for assistance.

All complaints will be treated seriously and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the applicable anti-ragging rules and institutional procedures.

Students are encouraged to report incidents promptly so that necessary protection, counselling, and appropriate action can be provided without delay.
