Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Holy Grace Polytechnic College is constituted to ensure a safe, secure, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff.

The Committee works towards the prevention and redressal of complaints relating to sexual harassment within the institution, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and relevant institutional guidelines.

Objectives

• To prevent sexual harassment and promote a safe campus environment.
• To provide an accessible and confidential mechanism for registering complaints.
• To ensure that complaints are dealt with fairly, sensitively, and in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• To create awareness among students and staff about prevention of sexual harassment.
• To conduct gender-sensitization and awareness programmes.
• To promote dignity, equality, mutual respect, and professional conduct.

Functions of the Committee

• Receive and address complaints relating to sexual harassment.
• Examine complaints and conduct proceedings as prescribed under applicable rules.
• Maintain confidentiality of complaints and proceedings as required.
• Organise awareness programmes, seminars, and sensitisation sessions.
• Create awareness about the rights and responsibilities of students and employees.
• Recommend appropriate action to the competent authority based on the findings of the Committee.
• Maintain necessary records and documentation of Committee activities.
• Take preventive measures to promote a safe and respectful institutional environment.
